David Gasper, DDS
Meet Dr. Gasper
Dr. David Gasper was born and raised in the Western suburbs of Chicago. He completed his undergraduate degree at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. After college, he attended dental school on a full military scholarship, graduating from a unique 3 year accelerated curriculum at the Arthur A. Dugoni University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. He then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the President’s hospital, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Immediately afterwards, he served for three years as a staff oral surgeon and interim Assistant Program Director at an Army oral & maxillofacial training program in El Paso Texas, during which he achieved his board certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Subsequently, he also served as Chief of Oral Surgery and Officer in Charge of the Oral Surgery Clinic in Irwin Army Community Hospital at Ft Riley, Kansas, achieving a final rank of O-5/ Lieutenant Colonel.
Now, with Wichita Oral Surgery, Dr Gasper is operating in one of the newest and most state-of-the-art Oral Surgery clinics in Kansas. He provides exceptional oral surgical care, including wisdom teeth removal and placement of dental implants, under general anesthesia or deep intravenous sedation, to the residents of Wichita, south-central Kansas and beyond.
As a husband and father of three young children, Dr. Gasper has many interests outside of Oral Surgery. He enjoys playing with his high energy young boys, spending outdoors hiking, cycling, playing sports and cross country road trips in this great country. He is acutely thankful that he was alive to experience the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series within his lifetime.
Dr. Gasper completes over 100 hours of Continuing Dental and Medical Education each year, and maintains active certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Gasper also holds memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Gasper is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
